In this episode, we talk with Teresa Thome about how she went from Executive Director of a Children’s Museum to TV Producer to Film Producer to on-stage storyteller and everything in between. Teresa talks about how she has been able to break into a man’s world and what it has taken to get her business where it is today. Teresa also tells us about her production, Warm Cheese, how it got its name and how she uses storytelling in her show and in her film making.

Teresa amazed us with some of her great tips for fempreneurs, including how she has been able to conquer issues of confidence to conquer LA and her new business world. Teresa also shares her strong belief that the world is run by those who show up.

Thome provides creative services for businesses and producing services for a variety of clients, including, but not limited to Gilda's Clubs' National Comedy Festival, LaughFest, working with such notables as Betty White, Alan Zweibel, Kevin Nealon & Martin Short. Her co-written/produced pilot script with Ed Asner & Marion Ross was presented @ the Chicago Broadcast Museum.

Prior to Fubble, Thome served as President of Enthusiastic Productions and as an Emmy-Award winning Executive Producer of the children’s television show, Come On Over! Thome received a regional Emmy, two National Telly Awards and a national daytime Emmy nomination for her work on the show (which garnered 13 Emmys). While at EP! Thome spearheaded efforts to raise nearly $2 million in capital investment and assisted in the formation of a partnership with Four Boys Entertainment.

Teresa served as Executive Director for the award-winning Grand Rapids Children’s Museum for more than ten years. She was co-chair of the Assoc. of Children’s Museum’s annual international conference for two years. Locally she has directed more than 20 theatrical productions in and around West Michigan. She has worked as a performer in shows for Actors’ Theatre and Circle Theatre and was a founding member of Last Minute Improv, where she performed professionally for a decade.

Today Thome serves as Development Chair of Rogue Artists Ensemble (LA) and is producing a documentary on Community Theatre.

Thome's One Woman show performed to sold out crowds & standing O's at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Teresa recently performed at The Moth: LA.
